The World of Golarion: Map of Golarion

Information of the Andoran Region: Anodran Wiki

There is alot of impormation on the net about Golarion, Andoran and the surrounding area. Please take the time and review the world you will be playing in.

To be a player in “The Path of the Seekers” you need three things:

1) A copy of Pathfinder Core Rulebook. Either in print or pdf form. A copy can be purchased here: Paizo RPG Store

If you create an account there, there is lots of free stuff including a free Pathfinder character sheet for download.

2) An understanding of a Gestalt play style. Below is a link to the Gestalt rules. Gestalt characters: Gestalt rules

This system is a guideline only. All character combinations are not necessarily allowed and a very good background must be presented in such a case.

3) The last is obvious…You must be able to drive out to my home in the Detroit metro area in Michigan. Being on time is not a request. Please email me at casdegere@yahoo.com for an invite. Players and characters are subject to approval and time must be given for this approval.

Present game timeline:

The Age of Lost Omens (4606 to present year, 4708) – This age begins with the death of Aroden, which leaves the Chelish Empire without its divine mandate. A series of devastating natural disasters and storms wrack the world upon his death, which also results in the Eye of Abendego, a permanent hurricane sitting off the coast of Garund. The world of Golarion shifts its balance closer to the Abyss, and the Worldwound opens in the Northeast, spewing forth demonic hordes across the lands. The faltering Church of Aroden in Cheliax launches a series of crusades to close the Worldwound, but barely manage to contain the spread of their evil. Back home, civil wars wrack Cheliax for decades as various power factions war over rulership of the nation. Diabolists of the House of Thrune finally wrest control of the throne of Cheliax, brutally ending three decades of vicious civil war. Cheliax becomes a evil dictatorship rules by the power of summoned devils and a dark shadow envelops the empire. Andoran and Galt revolt and declare their independence from the evil rule of Cheliax.

It is a dangerous time. Much war and strife have caused alot of unrest and banditry in and around Andoran. The main trading routes and roads have become unsafe. The Pathfinder Society is once again urgently looking for potential applicants to become members. Several of their most respected members have defected and are now sworn enemies of the Society. Many secrets have yet to be uncovered in the region. Will it be the Society or it’s enemies that discover them?

Pathfinder Society Game Mechanics

XP and Leveling
This is not based on CR vs APL. For every scenario completed, you get one XP. For every three XP, you go up one level.

Prestige Points
Pathfinder Society Organized Play also tracks a new statistic called Prestige Award (PA). Prestige Award is what you earn from your chosen faction for accomplishing various tasks for them during a Society mission or adventure. Prestige Award represents your worth to your faction—your renown or aplomb. It also represents your ability to buy new items, both magic and mundane, as your faction gives you much wider access to equipment than does the regular world. Starting with Season 1, during every scenario you will have an opportunity to gain 2 Prestige Award. One opportunity will be an easy or normal difficulty request—such as finding an item or talking to a particular NPC about a secret subject—and the other will be quite hard—such as a high Diplomacy skill check or the acquisition of a well-protected item. Prestige Award is a very important part of Pathfinder Society Organized Play—as you gain Prestige Award, your ability to buy better and more powerful items increases. Prestige Award may also be spent on temporary benefits.

As Prestige Points (PP) are awarded you should note the amount of points you have and the amount you have earned. Ex.- perhaps [Current Balance/Total Earned] is a good way to note this. I have 5/8 PP. The 8 represents the total PP, while 5 is your current PP balance after spending three PP somewhere along the way. It is important to note how many PP you have earned because it will dictate the maximum coin you may spend on equipment.

Ability Score
Pathfinder Society follows the “purchase” system used for generating ability scores as explained on pages 15–16 of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Core Rulebook. Pathfinder Society uses the “Very High Fantasy” choice of 25 points, allowing you to build a solid PC at 1st level. Please remember that no score can be reduced below 7 or raised above 18 using this method. Racial modifiers are applied after the points are spent, so it is possible to begin play with a low ability score of 6 and a high ability score of 20, depending on your race choice.
